Anita Kendrick began her international development career as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Philippines. She has held a range of positions, both as staff and consultant, at the World Bank since 2008.  She has consulted for numerous international humanitarian organizations including Save the Children, CARE, and Catholic Relief Services; international environmental organizations such as the Wildlife Conservation Society; and the Ford Foundation. Her work has primarily been in South and Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands with a focus on sustainable livelihoods, climate change and community resilience, and disaster management and reconstruction. She is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and holds an MA in Development Sociology and Southeast Asian Studies from Cornell University.
